Stretching Past Our Comfort Zones Isn’t Easy – These 3 Practices Will Help Prepare You To Grow

Stretching our Comfort Zones – not always easy but it’s worth it when we do.

It can be nice hanging out in our comfort zones as we enjoy the space before us. But sometimes our comfort zones can hold us back from going after our deepest desires and dreams. Staying comfortable in certain situations can keep us stuck. Taking that leap and stretching beyond what we normally do, is often where we learn and grow the most. These are the top 3 practices I adopt when I am preparing to stretch past my comfort zone:

  1. Visualize your desired end result coming to life. When we know where we are headed and we visualize ourselves successfully meeting our goal, we train ourselves to begin believing our goal is attainable. What we focus on, we tend to create more of – so spend some time each day training your mind to believe you will reach your dreams.
  2. Know WHY you want to stretch beyond where you are right now. You can then use your big reasons and whys to summon the courage to get started.
  3. Small change makes big change. Start with small steps forward, and keep making them consistently. We are more apt to keep going when we can gradually stretch out of our comfort zones, rather than feeling like we have to take a giant leap forward.

What about you? What are some of the ways YOU practice moving past your comfort zones, big or small? I’d love to hear how you move past your comfort zone, leave a comment below.
