Each day, we make choices around how we show up and share the truth of who we are. We all stand in our own unique and beautiful light. We can either shine bright, or cast shadows by attempting to hide the truth of who we are and the magnificence of our light.
Attempting to be small or offer apologies for who we are or who we are not, only ever temporarily dims the light within us. It doesn’t make others around us shine brighter or feel better. It is really only hurtful to ourselves. We choose whether we dim our light, or embrace that same light and shine it out for others to experience.
When we make the choice to fully step into who we are and feel proud of that, we are actually giving ourselves the greatest gift imaginable. Of course, when we share our light, it does make our world brighter. This is mostly because it provides a powerful mirror to others around us who may give themselves the very same gift – it is contagious!
What might change if your life if you set out to shine your light a little brighter?
