The answer that comes to me is: why not? Life is a journey filled with wonder, magic and weirdness – often all wrapped into one. Instead of sitting back pondering the wonder, magic and weirdness, why not jump in and enjoy the ride.
Wishing for things has a way of robbing us of the moments we are in. Next time you find yourself wishing for things, see what happens when you step outside of that and instead take action towards fulfilling that part of your journey.
Often it can be as simple of stepping into where we currently are and experiencing whatever that is. Sometimes it is taking small steps towards what it is we are longing for.
Life is meant to be a journey of fully experiencing what is before us. What might change in your life if you replaced your wishing, with ‘being and doing’?

So true. I've been journaling around the same topic, since I woman at our temple had shared an experience of her Buddhist practice, and she was wishing for an advancement in her life to happen, and eventually realized that she was going to stop wishing and instead make a determination, and then she got what she wanted. For me, this article has supported my new determination, not wish, to pass my oral coaching assessment. This feeling of determination is empowering.
Stace!! That's wonderful. You are amazing and your approach to your upcoming oral exam is just one of many pieces of evidence of your determination. Much love to you my friend xx
PS You already are an incredible coach...oral exam or not ;-)
