The idea that we have creative license in our life helps us to see that life isn’t happening to us. We have a say in how we choose to be on this journey of life, whatever comes our way. Some days are much easier than others, but we do have the ultimate say in how we react and attach.
We get to edit, delete, embellish, concoct riveting plots and drama filled scenes – if we choose. We can write our stories with any kind of creative flair we wish. We have more peaceful, joyful, loving experiences by choosing to ‘see more’, ‘be more’ and ‘create more’ peace, joy and love in our lives. Of course the opposite is also true, we can create more suffering in our lives through the stories we dig into and attach to.
When we put our awareness on how we are choosing to show up in life, it can be really interesting to notice ourselves and watch what comes up. We can be curious every time we have a thought, feeling or story that feels good. We can also apply this same curiosity to see what is behind our not so good feelings.
We can use this information to decide what kind of story we are creating, and where we would like to take the next chapter, paragraph, sentence etc. We can change direction or stay on the same path through our attention and intention.
Each of us is powerful, we have the gift of imagination, thought and choice, and we can use these gifts to design the most amazing life journey while we get to be here.
How will you write your story today?
