Confidence Booster Series: Nurture Yourself
“We lose ourselves in the things we love. We find ourselves there, too.” – Kristin Martz
This week’s focus is to spend some time doing things that nurture your spirit. I always find that when I spend time getting lost in the things I love, I end up feeling rejuvenated. The opposite can also be true. When we don’t regularly take the time to incorporate meaningful activities into our lives, life can become unbalanced very quickly.
I recently planted a vegetable garden and find it very fulfilling when I spend time tending to it. There is something about growing nutritious food that nurtures a place deep within me.
There are many ways we can engage in nurturing activities. It could be getting swept away in the moments with loved ones and friends, or relishing some time to be fully on your own. It truly is whatever speaks to you.
I believe that when we take care of ourselves and tend to our individual needs, we are more apt to feel good about who we are and stay connected to our truth. Staying true to who we are also opens the door to have healthier relationships with others, which is certainly more appealing than the alternative.
So this week, enjoy time spent immersed in activities that leave you feeling full and content. You are worth nurturing.
