Extend Your Reach

How might you extend your reach today?

Everyone at some point or another has a hard luck day, or goes through periods of life where no break seems to be in sight. Sometimes life deals really tough stuff to sort through and the dark cloud can loom over for a spell. In these hard times, sometimes the very thing that makes all the difference in the world is when someone comes along and shows kindness for no other reason than to lift you up.

These acts and examples of kindness are often what can help begin to restore people’s faith that things will turn around, that life can be kind, and that there is an abundance of things about life that is so amazing.

We all make choices each day to express our love and kindness to people we come in contact with or not. These acts of love and kindness don’t have to be over the top or require great effort and work. In fact, I find it’s the very opposite. It feels so much better to be kind, share a smile, send a silent blessing or offer a kind word, than it ever feels to be unkind, cast judgment or wish ill will to others.

When we extend our reach to the people we share space with out in the world (even if it is just in our thoughts), we help to tip the scales towards creating a world that is founded on love, gratitude, acceptance and joy. Every little smile, hug, kind word and thought counts. Spread yours out today, you never know who you may reach.
